Modern Languages German
The Department of Modern Languages offers major and minor programs in German. The German program at Wabash offers courses ranging from beginning language to advanced seminars on literature. Elementary German courses require no previous experience with language; students who complete those courses will have acquired a fundamental understanding of German language and culture. Intermediate courses enable students to review and further develop language skills within a cultural context.
Most German students will study abroad at some point during their junior year; while on campus they take special topics course on German Literature. Our most advanced students enroll in 400-level topics courses and independent study projects. All majors must complete the Senior Seminar in German.
