September 2-6 is the Add period for a full semester course. THIS MUST BE DONE IN THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE. The change must be made using the add/drop slip and must be signed by your advisor and the instructor of the class(es) to be changed or added.
Chapel Talk: Brent Harris: Chapel , 11:15AM
This weeks chapel speaker will be Brent Harris with his talk entitled "Really? You Decided to go to Wabash?" Mr. Harris is in his 15th year at Wabash College as sports information and marketing director for the college. He grew up in Crawfordsville and has worked for both local and national media, including as a freelancer for Fox, CBS, NBC, and ABC Sports, and ESPN. Harris has worked on the broadcast crew for ESPN and ABC for the Indianapolis 500 and traveled to Mexico to cover Baja 500 and the Baja 1,000. He serves as the co-director for Site Control, hosting teams for the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament games in Indianapolis. Harris also works for the Indianapolis Colts as a member of the official stats crew and was the primary computer entry person for Super Bowl 46 held at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2012. An avid fan of the theater, Harris trained as a lighting and and sound designer and is currently vice president of the Sugar Creek Players. Harris is an honorary member of the Sphinx Club and was named an Honorary Alumnus, Class of 2003, in 2011. Math Club Callout: Goodrich Hall , 12:00PM
The Wabash College Math Club will be having a callout meeting this Thursday, September 5 at Noon in the common room in Goodrich Hall.
Pizza will be graciously provided by the math department. Come to this callout meeting if you would like to try your mathematical talents in this year's VTRMC (Virginia Tech Regional Math Competition) or the famous Putnam Competition. Other events that will be planned are the 2nd biannual Wabash College integration bee and the biannual Indiana Regional MAA meeting. If you can't make it, let me know and I will add you to the listserv (email list) so that you will know whats going on.
