Modern Languages Spanish
The Department of Modern Languages offers major and minor programs in Spanish. The Spanish program at Wabash offers courses ranging from beginning language to advanced seminars on literature, culture, and linguistics. Elementary Spanish courses require no previous experience with language; students who complete those courses will have acquired a fundamental understanding of Spanish language and culture.
Intermediate courses enable students to review and further develop language skills within a cultural context. Most of our Spanish students will study abroad at some point during their junior year, or they participate in our summer program in Ecuador. Our most advanced students take topics courses on Peninsular and Latin American literature and culture, as well as Spanish linguistics. All majors must complete the Senior Seminar in Spanish.
