Accessing Library Web Resources from Off Campus
All members of the Wabash College community of current students, faculty and staff may access databases from off-campus. Simply follow the links from the Database List.
If you have access problems, you are welcome to contact Jeff Beck at beckj@wabash.edu but the most frequent problems with access have been resolved by following this procedure:
First, be certain that you have entered your network username and password.
Second, try another web browser (Mozilla instead of Internet Explorer, or vice versa).
Third, try searching another database to determine if this is a problem with the database or our proxy server.
Fourth, try waiting awhile before trying to reconnect to the required database and ...
Finally, after trying these steps, contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@wabash.edu with a message that you have tried these steps. (It is possible that the Wabash proxy server that makes off-campus connections may need to be reset.)
In some cases, the problem may reside in the off-campus server that hosts the database, so try again later and be sure to let Jeff Beck know if the problem persists.
You may also access your files on the Wabash Network by following these instructions.
