Spc. James John Weber '04 Died During Training Run.

Spc. James John Weber ’04 died during a training run Nov. 20, 2007, at Fort Drum, NY. He was training for deployment later this year to Iraq.

"Spc. Weber died following physical fitness training here at Fort Drum," a media relations officer said from the base. "I don’t know the official cause of death at this time but I do know that he collapsed while on a run."

Weber was buried in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. He was the son of John and Lou Ann Weber. He is survived by two brothers.

Weber graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and minor in English and Russian. He was a member of TKE Fraternity and served a year as president. He was a graduate of Fort Wayne’s Bishop Luers High School.

The family asked for memorials to be made to Bishop Luers High School or Wabash College.
