Our Wabash Day, Fall 2012, was a pleasant morning at the Laurel/Jones County Animal Rescue League, a no kill facility that we have helped for four years. Those present were myself, Tamarco White ‘ 06, Trey Chinn ’07, Tariq Kanan ’12 and Cynthia Parsley, a friend of mine who is active in Rescue League activities. We did the normal clean up of the outer grounds and after this was complete, turned to a clearing project” that we have conducted for two years now, clearing another section brush growth and small trees at the back end of the main fenced yard. This allows more room for potential adopters of shelter animals to walk and get to know their new family member. We then adjourned to the Cline Home for some subs, chips, and salad with beverages and fellowship before returning home. A Spring Wabash Day will also be held to continue our progress in the clearing activities.
