Big Bash Weekend Starts with a Bang

He wasn't the first to sign the Alumni Register, but Stan Huntsman ’54 was among the first of his classmates back for his 50th.
Wabash's inaugural Big Bash Reunion Weekend has gotten off to a rousing start with well over 200 alumni scheduled to return for a full weekend of reunion events.

Alumni started signing the official Alumni Register right at 9:00 a.m. Many have taken campus tours, attended colloquium sessions, and enjoyed the Big Bash Deli Buffet. Colloquium sessions have covered the favorite Wabash memories of four retired professors, Wabash men involved in community service, and Wabash men in health care.

About 60 golfers teed off at 10 a.m. in the Wally Wabash Golf Outing. Early reports are that the Sugar Creek Alumni Association has sold a lot of mulligans! (A rumor is that Dean of Students Tom Bambrey ’68 has spent lots of time on the golf course of late -- he eagled number 18 with a chip in from the fairway.)

The highlight of the first day's activities will be the Big Bash Banquet when all 10 reunion classes plus the Golden Little Giants gather in Knowling Fieldhouse for cocktails, dinner, and dancing to the Windy City Swing Band.
