Crawfordsville Community Chorus to present Vivaldi’s Gloria

The Crawfordsville Community Chorus will present a concert of sacred music at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 27, in Wabash College’s Salter Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center, 510 S. Grant Street, Crawfordsville.

Featured on the program will be Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria, a 30-minute work for mixed chorus, soloists, and chamber orchestra. Additional selections will include Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré, and G. B. Martini’s Lord, My God, Assist Me Now.

The Community Chorus includes singers from several communities in west-central Indiana, as well as Wabash College faculty, staff, and students. The Chorus is directed by Richard Bowen and accompanied by Cheryl Everett.

The concert is sponsored by the Experience Indiana Speakers and Artist Series, through a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., as well as contributions from Tri Kappa Sorority and Tipmont REMC Operation Roundup Trust.

The concert is free and open to the public.
