Brandan Alford, a member of the Wabash Class of 2012, joined his Lafayette American Legion baseball teammates in rescuing a women trapped under a minivan Saturday afternoon. Alford, Emilio Domondon, Andrew West, and Kory Banes lifted the vehicle off 72-year-old Helen Williams, who was trapped under a tire.

Alford is a third baseman for the Lafayette American Legion Post 11 baseball team and plans to play for the Wabash baseball squad, as well.
