Time-Lapse Video Shows Entire Football Field Project

While it may seem to many football enthusiasts that it took a long time for the new Field Turf to go down and Hollett Little Giant Stadium get a brand new look, it really wasn't long at all. It takes only about 1:46 to get the job done!

All summer Kyle Bender, Brent Harris, Jim Amidon, and Hewitt would go over to the stadium to shoot photos and do updates on the summer construction project. But we weren't the only ones working to keep the Wabash alumni football enthusiasts updated.

Media Services Specialist Adam Bowen and his summer interns Adam Phipps '11 and Chris Sidebottom '11 made the remarkable video below possible. They stationed a time-lapse camera in the press box to create this really cool video of the project. Phipps would go to the booth almost every day to check on the camera and make sure there was enough tape to keep the recording going.

The camera went up July 21 and was taken down Aug. 23. It recorded one second of video every five minutes. The final product was edited for over nights and down time.
