Wabash scored wins in all but one match in its 2011 season-opening win against Franklin College. The Little Giants came away with an 8-1 victory.
The Little Giants swept doubles play, starting with a 9-8 victory at number one doubles by Daniel Delgado and Wade Miller. The duo scored a 7-4 victory in the tiebreaker to claim the win. Peter Gunderman and Ricky Ritter posted an 8-4 win at number two doubles, while Ian Leonard and Evan Bayless cruised to an 8-1 win in the third flight.
Delgado took a straight sets 6-2, 6-4 win at number two singles. Zach Lowry was a 6-3, 6-2 winner in the third singles flight. Miller won 6-0, 6-1 at number four singles. Ritter (right) and Leonard were perfect with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins at number five and six singles, respectively.
Wabash (1-0) will play host to Augustana College and Hanover College Saturday at the Collett Tennis Center.
