For the second time during the Wabash tennis team's spring break trip to Puerto Rico the Little Giants took on an NCAA Division I opponent. Wednesday afternoon Wabash lost 7-0 to the University of Connecticut, but not without taking one doubles flight from the Huskies.
Senior Ricky Ritter (right) and junior Peter Gunderman combined for an 8-4 victory in number two doubles over Ricardo Cardona and Wei Lin from Connecticut. The Huskies maintained the team shutout by winning the two remaining doubles matches to earn the team point in Division I scoring.
The Little Giants close out the competition portion of their trip on Thursday with a match against the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez team. Wabash returns to action after spring break with a Wednesday afternoon home match against Rose-Hulman on March 16.
