Timmons Picks Up NCAC Weekly Award

Wabash sophomore Montana Timmons has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week. 

The Lafayette, Indiana native and McCutcheon High School graduate batted .500 for the week, collecting 10 hits in 20 at bats. He finished the five-game stretch for the Wabash team with 10 RBI and 19 total bases, including two home runs in Sunday’s series against Ohio Wesleyan. He was 2-for-4 in the first game against the Bishops with two runs scored before recording three hits and eight RBI in the nightcap.

Timmons hit his second home run of the season in the first inning as part of an 11-run outpouring by the Little Giants in the frame. He collected five RBI in that inning, adding a two-run single in his second trip to the plate. His second home run of the contest was a two-run shot in the second inning. Timmons added a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

The outfielder had five hits and two RBI against Oberlin on Saturday.
