2010 Wrestling Camp: Day Two
Jake Varner, the 2010 and 2009 NCAA Division I 197-pound wrestling champion, was the Tuesday instructor for campers.
Varner wasted no time getting volunteers and showing technique and work habits that would help each wrestler improve.
Varner finished his senior season at Iowa State with an NCAA title and a perfect 31-0 record.
Modern technology allows wrestlers to take the lessons home with them.
Part of the learning process includes listening to the instruction before drills.

Jason Hayes, who wrestled at Purdue, helped fill in Tuesday when Olympian John Smith got stranded in Oklahoma City because of flooding. Hayes is now on the coaching staff at Hinsdale Central High School in Illinois. He wrestled at Bellmont High School in Indiana.
Coaching also includes tending to aches and pains.
One of the Little Giant upperclassmen noted that Coach Anderson enjoys giving the freshmen a few tough lessons.
