Construction at the site of the new Wabash soccer stadium, practice and intramural fields, and track and field throwing area is well underway. The foundation for the stands at the soccer stadium are poured with fill material being added before the next step in the process.

The ground at the site of the former baseball field had to be leveled before stone could be added for the base drainage.

The stone drainage base has already been put in place at the southwest edge of the field.

This is the foundation for a new storage building that will be used by both soccer and track and field.

The new soccer press box is taking shape. The press box will be located at field level between the two team benches.

After the stone is in place, drainage tiles will be rolled out before the next level of sand and gravel mix is put in place. Once all of the base is set, the new FieldTurf will be put in place.

Top soil is already installed on the eastern portion of Mud Hollow Field. This northeast corner of the field was used by the track and field team two weeks ago for field events practice. In the coming months sod will be installed to have everything ready for use in the fall.
