Tobey Herzog, professor of English and the Anderw & Anne Ford Chair in the Liberal Arts, listens to his retirement presentation after 38 years on campus. Said colleague Warren Rosenberg, 'Tobey is a popular and masterful teacher. Most of his classes are, year in and year out, some of the first to close during registration. Students are and have always been eager to take a Herzog class.'

Tobey Herzog is all smiles following the program. 'As first and only commissioner of the NBA (the Noon Basketball Association) he has put his love of athletics into action, still making jump shots and playing occasional defense as he approaches his seventh decade,' said Rosenberg.
