A quick stop at the Orsanmichele church and museum gave the group an up close look at original statues which once adorned the building's wall. Outside now are replicas, inside are the originals.

The 'Friends of Florence are restoring the fresco behind Bill Cook. The fresco depicts orphan children meeting their parents. Bill will be honored with a plaque beside the painting for his work with the organization.
Eleven members of the group enjoyed a late-afternoon private wine tasting at Alessi wine bard next to our hotel. Anotella was our charming host.
