| The USS Indianapolis was President Franklin Roosevelt's ship of state. The museum in downtown Indy has many photographs of Roosevelt aboard the boat and the specially-designed quarters in which he stayed while aboard. After he became crippled, the boat was modified with hand rails and an elevator. |
