Four alums from the Fort Wayne, Indiana area spent WABASH Day installing cabinets at Easterseals Arc. Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to make sure your building material isn't going to move.
Three Wabash men, one Wabash spouse, and two (hopefully) future Wabash men trekked and picked up many bags of trash along the Monon Trail starting at the Monon Center in Carmel, IN. Their work was met with many thanks from the patrons along the trail this past Saturday morning and even a few comments about how Wabash Always Fights!

The St. Joseph Valley Association of Wabash Men power-washed outdoor areas, moved items (including furniture and children's items), and cleaned areas at the Families First Center. WABASH Day in Detroit included packing medical supplies for Puerto Rico at World Medical Relief in Southfield, MI. The team included Roy Sexton '95, Mike Piggins '13, AJ (friend of Carl Rivera), Carl Rivera '13, Terry Hamilton '89, Mazen Alam (son of Kurshaid Alam '93), Daniel Sweet '04, and Kurshaid Alam '93.

Twelve Wabash alumni, family, and friends worked together on Saturday morning to clean and organize the Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry, a local food pantry that serves families in need in the Avon (IN) Community School Corporation. These volunteers worked together to clear out much needed storage within the repurposed classroom to allow for extra donations to be welcomed. They also organized and shelved hundreds of items which had been recently brought into the pantry from the community.

Wabash men can always find a way to have fun while giving back to their communities.
The downtown section of the Monon Trail Cleanup project worked for two hours and had an amazing turn out with close to 20 gentlemen and spouses, mostly from the Classes of 2015 and 2016. Volunteers included

Six Wabash men spent WABASH Day deep cleaning walk-in refrigerations at Second Helpings, where volunteers and staff rescue prepared and perishable food from wholesalers, retailers and restaurants. The rescued food is used to create 4,000 hot, nutritious meals each day that are distributed to 80 social service agencies to feed people in need.
The men moved the contents of the very large refrigerators, spray washed the racks, scrubbed down the walls, and mopped the floors. Pictured are Joel Bustamante '11, Alex Avtgis '11, Carl Michaelis '79, Hugh Vandivier '91, Kevin Andrews '10, and Kyle McClammer '08.
Alums in Nashville, Tennessee were part of a larger group that sorted over 7,600 lbs. of food at The Second Harvest Food Bank that will yield approximately 6,600 meals in the middle Tennessee area. The Wabash team consisted of Brad Baldauf '88, Frank Fish '79, Shelby Morrison (Tim Morrison's daughter), and Tim Morrison '88.
The National Capital Association of Wabash Men participated with a local non-profit, Seabury Resource's Senior Age-in-Place Program, for WABASH Day. Bob Kachur '87, Homer Twigg '08, and Ross Dillard '07 tended to some much-needed yard work at the home of two of the residents on a beautiful Saturday morning in Washington, D.C.
Alumni from Dallas gathered at Dallas Heritage Village, home to the largest and finest collection of 19th-century pioneer and Victorian homes and commercial buildings in Texas. The group spent three hours painting the exterior fence. Wabash College alums Joshua Patty ’99 and David Dingley ’81 volunteered at Harvesters Community Food Network in Kansas City, Missouri, to assist in packing over 1000 backpack food sacks for school age children.
Current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Wabash College spent Oct. 21-22, participating in various community service projects nationwide for WABASH Day 2017.
WABASH Day is the National Association of Wabash Men's annual, national day/weekend of community service. The event stands for Wabash Alumni Benefiting And Serving Humanity.
Some of the community service projects included helping in local food pantries, cleaning up community trails, completing landscaping work for assisted living facilities, and packing hurricane relief materials to send to Puerto Rico.
