Wabash Music Department to Present Spring Spotlight Concert

The Wabash College Music Department invites you to the 15th Annual Spring Spotlight Concert at the College. The musical performance will take place on Thursday, April 15 at 8:00 p.m. in the Lewis S. Salter Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center.

Songs that will be performed include Begin the Beguine by Cole Porter; He Be GB’s by George Colakovic; Since I Fell in Love by Buddy Johnson; Bill from Showboat by Jerome Kern; Benedictus from Mass in G Major by Franz Schubert; Prelude in D- Major, Op. 28, No. 15 by Frederic Chopin; Let’s Get Away From It All by Bob Martin; and Yesterday by Lennon and McCartney.

Faculty, students, and members of the staff and the Crawfordsville community offer a wide variety of music, from classical to pop, folk music to gospel. Participants this year include Lawrence Bennett, Cheryl Everett, and Sheila Evans, Brad Uebinger, and Jack Stewart. Students performing include Matt Arroyo, Howard Bailey, Tim Barnes, Chris Borm, James Boyd, George Colakovic, Rob Giesting, Chris Jackson, Desmond Risper, Daniel Ristine, Michael Roark, Andy Shepherd, Tony Smith, Cameron Starnes, Nick Steffen and Steven Zusack. The Spotlight Concert also features seniors, many of whom will perform solos for the last time at Wabash College.

The Spotlight Concert has become a great year-end tradition sponsored by the Wabash College Music Department, a gift of light, relaxing entertainment for the whole community. Please join the Wabash students and staff for a delightful evening of musical entertainment.

Admission to the performance is free and everyone is welcome.
