Wabash Alumni Invade The Friendly Confines

It was a beautiful day at Wrigley Field on Friday, May 27 for the Fourth Annual Wabash Club of Chicago Cubs Outing.  Nearly 90 alumni, friends, and family enjoyed the social gathering at John Barleycorn before walking one half block up Clark Street to the famous home of the Cubs.  Historic Wrigley was packed as the Cubs faced the Colorado Rockies.

With the home team winning 10-3 it would have been a perfect day for the Cubs fans in the group if it weren't for the line drive off the elbow of starting pitcher Mark Prior causing him to leave the game and subsequently go on the disabled list.

The WCC Scholarship Fund benefited from the event this year to the tune of nearly $1300.  Many thanks to Eric Schoettle '93 for organizing the outing again this year.

The next WCC event will be the annual golf outing and will be held on Monday, August 1.  Watch your mail for details!
