Applications Now Being Accepted for Business Immersion

Applications are now being accepted for the eight-week summer Business Immersion Program, an introduction to entrepreneurship. The program will be conducted on campus from May 22 through July 14, 2006.

Participants will spend time in the classroom discussing readings, case studies, and projects. Guest speakers, many of whom are Wabash alumni, will visit to discuss facets of entrepreneurship and share their own entrepreneurial experiences. Students also take field trips to several local businesses.

The Business Immersion Program includes two intensive team projects: creating a business plan and working on a consulting project for a local small business. Teams will give presentations on both projects, and business plans will be evaluated by an outside panel.

When students are not in the classroom, they are preparing for class sessions and working on projects. Participants will not just read about entrepreneurship in this program; they have the opportunity to talk to successful entrepreneurs and get hands-on experience.

Student participants will receive an honorarium of $2,000 for the eight weeks. On-campus housing will be provided and paid for.

Students interested in the Business Immersion Program should fill out this application, attach a resume, and return it to Lu Hamilton by March 1st. We will choose and notify the 12 participants by March 15th.
