Wabash Celebrating U.S. Constitution Noon Today

Wabash College will join institutions across the country Friday in celebrating Constitution Day. The United States Constitution was signed Sept. 17, 1787 by 39 patriots, sending the document to the states for ratification.

Wabash’s Political Science Department and Political Science Society will celebrate the Constitution at 12:15 p.m, Friday, In Baxter 202.
Students from Professor David Hadley’s Survey of American Politics class will pair off in teams for presentations. The students are reading Robert Dahl’s book “How Democratic is the American Constitution?
The students will be completing an assignment challenging them to think critically about the question: “Should we Ratify this Constitution Today?'
“It’s the 223rd anniversary of the signing,” said Political Science Professor David Hadley, “and this is a celebration of a document that has served us well.”
Pizza and drinks will be served. All those attending will be encouraged to join the discussion.
