Full Field for the 2013 IAWM Mitchum Crock

A full field of golfers participated in the 2013 IAWM Mitchum Crock golf tournament.  A great effort by the Crock committee combined a with a spot on forecast for a near perfect day prompted a maximum number of participants in this year's outing.  Following the 2012 outing with temperatures soaring into triple digits, July temps in the 70's made for a great day at Plum Creek Golf Club in Carmel.

Like last year, a team entered by event sponsor Barnes & Thornburg, LLP ended the day on top.  The team of Bob Grand '78, Brian Burdick '91, Nate Baker '94, and Jake German '11 finished with a round of 56 (16 under par) to earn low gross honors.  The Crock winner, however, is determined using a banker's handicap system and the low net score was posted by team Foyer (Greg '78, Kyle '83, Lenny, and Raymond).

Following golf and dinner President Greg Hess addressed Indianapolis area alumni for the first time with a few brief remarks before giving way to Scott Himsel '85 who introduced this year's special honoree, professor emeritus David Hadley H'76.

A special thanks again to event title sponsor Barnes and Thornburg, beverage sponsor Sun King Brewing, and the  additional company's and individuals who supported the Indianapolis Association of Wabash Men as major sponsors and hole sponsors.

The great work by all members of the IAWM Mitchum Crock committee in the weeks and days leading up to event as well as the flawless execution on tournament day provided a great day for all involved.
