Baseball Field Construction - Oct. 7, 2010

Sod was being put in place Wednesday in left field. Crews expect to have the entire outfield sod in place by Friday afternoon.

The LaserDozer is back! The new field will have a slight grade (about 1 degree per 100 feet) to assist with drainage. The laserdozer makes certain each portion of the field has the proper grade before the sod crew can go to work.

Five truckloads of sod arrived on Wednesday with five more scheduled for Thursday to complete the outfield surface.
