Wabash College seeks candidates for its part time position for the Associate Director of the Wabash Pastoral Leadership Program (WPLP). This position is part of a small staff that thinks creatively to organize, support, execute and evaluate Wabash Pastoral Leadership Program cohort sessions, study tours, and reunion activities. The Associate Director’s work requires imagination, collaborative skills, knowledge of adult learning theory, and deep appreciation of and for the work of Christian pastors in Indiana toward flourishing local communities. Applicants must be knowledgeable about issues of diversity, equity and belonging, and committed to relationship building with local civic leaders.
- Quarter time hybrid position. Must be on campus for sessions and participate in study tours, but may work remotely other times
- Begin January 2025
- Two-year commitment to work with cohort 9 of the WPLP program 2025-26
- Oversee the annual reunion planning
- Assist in the design and implementation of five cohort sessions per year
- Assist in hosting the annual study tour in partnership with the director
- Assist in the ongoing evaluation of the program
- Be available to workshop with and support past and present cohort members
- Assist in the writing of annual reports to Lilly Endowment
- Generate photographs and videos of the participants to share on social media and for use in program promotion
- Assist in cohort selection and program promotion across the state
Qualifications: MDiv from an accredited seminary, pastoral ministry experience in Indiana with preference given to those currently serving a congregation, and past participation in the Wabash Pastoral Leadership Program
The Wabash Pastoral Leadership Program is a Lilly endowment funded program that is based at Wabash College. Wabash College is a private liberal arts college for men located in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Founded in 1832, its mission is to “educate men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely,” and it accomplishes its mission in a residential community in which faculty are highly engaged with their students, in and out of the classroom.
