This past summer, I was awarded the opportunity to live in Louisville while interning with Legal Aid Society because of both generous grants provided to me through Wabash College as well as the generosity of local Wabash alumni. I will forever carry with me the lifechanging experience of interning in Peru for the Global Health Initiative this past summer. I stepped out of my comfort zone traveling so far from home and was rewarded by witnessing the ways in which our work improved the wellness of each family we met. The moment I stepped back on campus, I realized that Wabash opened a door for me to learn more about myself and to gain a global perspective.

I’ve acted in, directed, and teched a dozen plays (and one musical!), taken a puppet-carving workshop in Prague, and traveled to New York to watch a Broadway musical in pre-production workshops, all in my brief time at the College. The generosity of Wabash faculty and alumni has made it possible for me to follow my passions and encouraged me to pursue a career in academia so that I can give back to the next generation.
