Wright '13 Creates Educational Finance Vids

Michael Wright ’13 had a summer internship which may help Wabash students better understand personal finance.

Wright presented his four short videos on campus Thursday afternoon. Webisode Wisdom: A Guide to Financial Management is a series of four brief videos featuring Wright’s off-beat humor.

He wrote, edited, acted, and produced the four pieces with his father and a handful of Wabash student friends.

“My goal was to make it funny and entertaining,” he told the noontime audience. “Obviously making a budget and managing your finances isn’t that exciting.”

The four videos focus on creating a budget, credit card use, reading a credit report, and financial investing. The videos will be available on the Wabash YouTube channel. The video may be made available to schools which are a part of the ICI.

Wright’s internship was funded by the Independent Colleges of Indiana and PNC Financial Literacy Campus Initiative. Wright credited the Colleges’ Financial Aid staff, particularly LaToshia Everson along with Betsy Knott and Deborah Woods for their supervision and assistance.
