Evansville 2012

Once again the Evansville Assoc. of Wabash Men completed a great project for WABASH DAY, our 8th successful year.  The ECHO Health Clinic  Pediatric and Prenatal facility had 5 exam rooms that desperately needed repainting.  ECHO is a not-for-profit health care provider to the indigent and underinsured in the Evansville area and would rather use its funds for its patients than to hire a painting crew, especially since if professional painters were hired the clinic would have to close while the work was done.

WABASH DAY offered the perfect solution. Peter DeYoung, Eric Strehl ’91 and his son Jared, Paul Parkinson, Joe Armentano, Mark Schnepper and Thom Liffick gave up their Saturday to completely repaint the 5 exam rooms in bright, vibrant (some would say loud) colors.  Through Herculean effort the drab tan rooms were transformed into cheerful inviting spaces for kids and their families. Thanks to all the participants of this year’s event. I want to particularly thank Eric Strehl for sticking with me the last 3 hours so that the job could be completed in order to be ready for patients Monday morning.
