Faculty Profile - Eric Olofson

Name: Eric Olofson

Background: I'm a Northwesterner through and through. I'm originally from Renton, Washington, and my family lives all around the Puget Sound. The day before I graduated from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), I married my college sweetheart, Carrie. After graduation, I served in AmeriCorps*VISTA for a year while I created a mentoring program designed to give at-risk middle school students exposure to higher education. We then moved to Eugene, Oregon, where I completed my masters and doctoral degrees in developmental psychology. Less than a month after receiving my PhD in 2008, I was at Wabash preparing for my first semester as an assistant professor. Our first daughter, Soren, was born on the day of Commencement in 2009, and our second daughter, Sadie, was born on Father's Day in 2011.
