If starting a business is on your mind, then the Wabash Entrepreneur Summit might be for you.
The fourth annual Entrepreneur Summit is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Wabash College Fine Arts Center. The goal of the summit is to grow entrepreneurial energy and connections at Wabash, Crawfordsville and the entire Central Indiana community.
“The Summit is a great opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs as well as seasoned entrepreneurs to make impactful connections and learn best practices,” said Scott Crawford, director of the Schroeder Center for Career Development.
The morning program features three keynote speakers: Greg Nance of ChaseFuture and Moneythink, an admissions consulting platform and a movement to improve the U.S economic health through financial education; Matt Hunckler of Verge, a community of Indiana technology entrepreneurs, software developers, and business investors; and David Weglarz ’03, owner of StiIL 630, a distillery based in St. Louis.
Afternoon breakout sessions include Marty Brown '06, Aviary, a photo app based in New York, N.Y.; Cathy Langlois, Launch Fishers, Indianapolis, Ind.; Ian Starnes '11, Bird Dog Bay, Chicago, Ill.; Kevin Hitchen, Localstake, a crowdfunding platform for small business and real estate developers, Indianapolis, Steve Badger '87, Badger Law Office, Indianapolis; Michael Cullen, Cross-Alliance, an organization that equips others with strategies to foster commitment and optimize potential based in Crawfordsville, Ind.; Chad Peterman '09, BEAST Performance, a sports training facility in Indianapolis; and Willie Matis '09, Millennial Chat, a platform to facilitate dialogue between Millennials and other demographics based in Indianapolis.
The program is free and open to students, alumni, community leaders, faculty/staff and regional entrepreneurs. Breakfast, lunch and breaks are provided.
