What made you decide to attend Wabash: Wabash’s focus on student and alumni interaction made it a place I knew I could be successful and have lots of help along the way.

Favorite course thus far and why: Freshman tutorial “Founding Brothers” with Scott Himsel is one I will never forget.  Tutorial exposed me to Wabash’s emphasis on critical thinking and student discussion, and I still refer to my tutorial classmates as my “brothers.”

Favorite Wabash moment: Our 2013 Cross Country season we ended Calvin College’s 17 year winning streak of Regional Championships, on their home course no less. It was even more memorable because the last time the Red Pack won Regionals was in 1996 when Coach Busch was a senior.

Favorite place on campus: I love living in Martindale Hall, it is very relaxed, open, and friendly environment. People ask me why I would choose to live in Martindale, and my response is usually, “Why wouldn’t I?”

Plans after Wabash: My plan is to join the program Teach for America Corps.

Tell us something very few people know about you: I am a huge, huge fan of Coach Brad Stevens, graduate of the “school to the south.” I had the opportunity to meet him briefly, and, trying to be creative, I asked him if he had “good feet” (referencing his commercials for a foot product of the same name). He thought I was hilarious.
