Wabash To Face OWU in NCAC Basketball Tourney Opener

Senior Jesse Burgess and the Little Giants open NCAC Tournament play Tuesday night

Wabash will play Ohio Wesleyan University in the opening round of the 2003 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. The two teams will meet for the third time in four years in a first-round contest.

The game will be played at 7:30 p.m. at Chadwick Court in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Wabash finished fourth in the final NCAC regular season standings with a 15-9 mark overall and 9-7 in the NCAC.

Wabash won the only previous NCAC tournament game at home against the Battling Bishops, claiming a 73-46 victory in 2000. Ohio Wesleyan defeated Wabash 86-84 in Delaware, Ohio in 2001.

The two teams split regular season contests earlier this year.

Admission to the first round of the NCAC Tournament at Wabash is free of charge.
