Dr. Cheryl E. Ball, a leader in the study of digital media and publishing, will present a public lecture at Wabash College at 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 15, in Baxter Hall room 101. The title of her talk is “Digital Publishing as a Liberal Art.”
Dr. Ball is Associate Professor of Digital Publishing Studies at West Virginia University and editor of Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, Pedagogy. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Norway at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design in 2013-14, and has received sizable grants from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Dr. Ball is a frequent columnist for Inside Higher Ed on topics that include surviving the academic job market. She is the co-author of The New Work of Composing, RAW: Reading and Writing New Media, and numerous textbooks and journal articles on writing, technology, and hybrid teaching strategies.
