Deon T. Miles ’97 is a chemistry professor at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN. He is co-director of Sewanee’s Center for Teaching, which promotes excellence in teaching through a broad range of programs for faculty. Dr. Miles has served on several university committees, including Promotion and Tenure, Strategic Planning for Diversity, and Athletic Facilities Assessment. He is a member of the selection committee for the Sewanee Athletics Hall of Fame. He is an ordained deacon at Silverdale Baptist Church. Dr. Miles, his wife Petrise, and their two sons live in Chattanooga, TN.
