Two national champions and three All-Americans pushed the Wabash wrestling team to a fourth-place finish at the 2016 NCAA Division III Championships, marking only the second time in school history that a Little Giant team has finished as high nationally in back-to-back seasons.
This trio sealed the deal:
Riley Lefever ’17 (left) capped an undefeated season with his third consecutive national title. That makes him one of 16 wrestlers in DIII history to win three! He also earned first-team Academic All-America honors. Devin Broukal ’18 (above) became just the third Wabash wrestler to win a national championship when he won the 133- pound weight class, while Nick Bova ’17 earned All-America honors for the first time in his career.
