The Wabash College’s Visiting Artist Series presents international performance collective, Double Helix, at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16, in Korb Theater in the Fine Arts Center.
Double Helix Collective is an interdisciplinary multimedia performance project by Sabrina Lastman (Sound) and Petronio Bendito (Visuals). DHC explores visual poetics at the intersection of music, light, shadow, software, video, ritual, and improvisation in an attempt to reclaim the physicality and accountability of the human expressive experience in a world increasingly automated. DHC engages digital projection, while embracing the manifestation of the shadow — the human silhouette — in its pure, bare, unassuming, and yet expressive, way.
The Visiting Artist Series is funded in part by the Tippecanoe Arts Federation, the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Tickets are free, but are required, for Visiting Artist Series events. For more information please visit: www.wabash.edu/boxoffice, or phone 765-361-6411.
