Wabash Theater Presents Special Commencement Weekend Production of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors

Crawfordsville, Ind.—The Wabash College Theater Department will present its final production of the season, The Comedy of Errors, by William Shakespeare, which will run May 16-17 in Ball Theater in the Fine Arts Center on the Wabash College campus. Performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday evening and a 2 p.m. matinee on May 17.

Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors is a madcap farcical romp of mistakes and misadventures, spiced with wit, slapstick, pandemonium, and a tangled web of a plot. It all comes together to form one of Shakespeare’s most hysterical and enduring comedies. First performed on December 28, 1594, at the Gray’s Inn Christmas Revels, this new staging of Shakespeare’s classic farce will be directed by visiting professor of theater Jemma Levy.

Wabash students performing in the show are freshmen Denis Farr, Danny Lippert, Matt McKay, Pete Wagner, Richard Winters, and Josh Woodward; sophomores Luke Elliot, Chris Mehl, Matt Myers, and Morgan Patchell; and seniors Chris Laguna and Maury Raycroft. Also participating in the production is Bob Royalty.

Tickets for the play are free. However, you must obtain your free tickets at the Fine Arts Box Office before attending a theater production. Tickets are available from the Fine Arts Box Office Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. until curtain time. The Box Office will open one hour before curtain time for weekend performances. For phone reservations, call 765-361-6411.

**Note**: The director and cast of The Comedy of Errors will hold a talkback session after the performance on Friday, April 18.
