Brass Ensemble and Jazz Combo to Present End-of-Year Concert at Wabash College

CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND. —The Wabash College Brass Ensemble and Jazz Combo will join forces to present their year-end concert on Friday, April 25 at 8 p.m. in Salter Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center.

The Brass Ensemble, with members from the college faculty, staff, students, and the Crawfordsville community, will perform a wide variety of classical and popular music from the 17th, 18th, and 20th centuries, including works by J. S. Bach, Johann Pezel, Eugene Bozza, Camille Saint-Seans, Bela Bartok, Karel Husa, and an arrangement of Get Me to the Church On Time from My Fair Lady.

The Jazz Combo, featuring faculty, students, and Crawfordsville community members, will play Sweet Georgia Brown by the songwriting team of Ben Bernie, Maceo Pickard, and Kenneth Casey, and tunes by jazz greats Duke Jordan, Nat Adderley, Freddie Hubbard, and John Coltrane.

Admission to the concert is free and it is open to the public.
