Career Services helps students identify and execute plans to become productive, fulfilled men after Wabash. Whatever he can dream, we offer individualized programs andresources to help him get there, from employmentto graduate school to teaching in Africa.
We are continuously creating new opportunities for students to enrich their academic learning with hands-on experiences such as industry seminars, resume and cover letter writing workshops, career fairs, graduate school preparation, job and internship readiness, career interest inventories and support and guidance for alternative paths such as fellowships and gap years.
Internship experience has become increasingly necessary for success for new graduates. We provide internship support as well as funding for internship opportunities, including our Small Business Internship Fund. We can also assist students with connecting to other college-funded opportunities to complete internships or independent research projects in politics, law, business, and more. Other Wabash-funded opportunities for professional development include our Professional Immersion Experience (PIE) trips to New York,Colorado, and California, and externships.
Career Services also offers students opportunities to network with alumni on campus as well as in Chicago, Indianapolis, New York City, and Washington D.C. All Wabash students have access to the “Suit Yourself” program, which allows them to borrow (for free) donated professional clothing items from our Suit Room for interviews, campus events, or whatever else they would like.
Career Services hosts a multitude of events throughout the school year, and parents can stay in the loop by visiting our website and the Wabash calendar, as well as following us on our social media sites. We also have many opportunities for families to get involved in the successof Wabash students, such as hosting externships, internships, hosting students, or introducing us to your professional or graduate school contacts.
