FUNCTIONAL FASHION
Professor of Spanish Gilberto Gomez loved cycling the moment he learned to ride. As a boy he worked to earn money to buy his first road bike.
The passion continues—he joins students of the College’s cycling club for weekly rides and has traversed the state twice in the annual Ride Across Indiana. In Spring 2017 he led students in the Pilgrimages New and Old class on a different journey—this one for 96 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago.
Why does he ride?
“Distráete cabrón y verás cómo le das su buen golpe al suelo,” Gomez says. “Be in the moment, dude!”
