Computer / Phone Information for Graduating Seniors

Are you graduating this spring? Read on for important information about your phone and computer accounts, and what will happen to them after you graduate.

Telephone System

Your Wabash phone number/voice mail will remain active until June 2, at which time it will be deactivated. On May 19, all student phone numbers will be programmed to ring directly to voice mail, so if you will be on campus after May 19, you will need to reprogram your phone number to ring into your room.

If you are graduating in May but will be working on campus after June 2, you can request an extension of phone service through as late as August 8, 2003. To request an extension, send email to helpdesk@wabash.edu with your name, phone number, who you are working for, and how long you will need your phone number. Because student phone numbers are reassigned in the fall to new students, the latest possible date for keeping your phone number is August 8, 2003.

Computer Account / Email

Your current Wabash email address will remain active for one year after graduation, until June 1, 2004. You can continue to log into Wabash's webmail system from anywhere on the Internet to access your email. Upon graduation you will receive a permanent Wabash email address, which you can use as long as you like. You will receive this address on or soon after May 15, along with instructions on activating the address.

Personal files on scholar.user, caleb.www, and other network shared drives will be permanently deleted from the system on June 2, 2003. Please make arrangements to make copies before then of any files you would like to keep.

If you are graduating in May but will be working on campus after June 2, you can request an extension of your personal folder space through as late as August 15, 2003. To request an extension, send email to helpdesk@wabash.edu with your name, phone number, who you are working for, and how long you will need your personal folder. To prepare the system for fall, the latest possible date for keeping your personal folder is August 8, 2003.

Alumni eServices

Wabash's Alumni eServices site provides access to an online searchable alumni directory, lets you submit and search class notes, and provides email forwarding for life. As a new graduate of the College, your Alumni eServices account will be activated on May 15. You will receive your username/password via email on that date. To log into the site, go to the alumni page.
