Jackson Wins Datatel Scholarship

Christopher Jackson, Wabash Class of 2006, has been awarded a $2000 Datatel Scholars scholarship for the 2003-2004 academic year. Wabash has had five previous recipients of this award since 1995.

The Datatel Scholars Foundation was founded in 1990 and awards scholarships to eligible students currently attending a higher institution selected from Datatel's 600 client sites. The program is administered by the Datatel Scholars Foundation in cooperation with Datatel's Client colleges, universities and non-education organizations.

Datatel awarded 276 scholarships for the 2003-04 academic year. Awards range from $700-$2000. The recipient must submit a personal statement essay summarizing their educational goals and objectives, where the applicant has been as an individual, and where they hope their education will take them. They should also indicate the difference a Datatel scholarship would make in their life and to those around them. An official transcript and two letters of recommendation from faculty or staff are also required.

Datatel, Inc. is Wabash's vendor for the Colleague and Benefactor software used throughout the administrative offices.
