The Little Giants opened with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. Dean Fox (Aurora, IN/South Dearborn), Craig Haupert (Cedar Lake, IN/Lowell), Brandon Peacock (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville), and Ben Long (Zionsville, IN/Zionsville) combined for first place with a time of 1:42.27. Gary Mineart (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) took first place in the 1000-yard freestyle, finishing in 10:37.68. Haupert won the 50 free in 22.73, finishing just ahead of teammate Dan Burleigh (Great Falls, MT/Russell). Burleigh took second with a time of 23.08. Fox took first in the 200 indivdual medley with a time of 2:05.64.
