An Evening of South Indian Music

Crawfordsville, IN — A group of musicians from southern India will present a concert of classical Indian music on Tuesday, September 16 at 8:00 p.m. in Salter Hall in the Fine Arts Center. The concert will be accompanied by an audio-visual presentation on the deities of Hinduism.

The musicians are affiliated with the Shri Umayalpuram K. Shivaraman School of Mrudangam in Maryland.

In addition to the concert, a workshop on south Indian music will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Korb Classroom in the Fine Arts Center. The workshop is open to the public.

The concert, sponsored by the Wabash College Departments of Music, Philsophy, and Religion, is free and open to the public. A reception will be held following the concert in the lobby of the Fine Arts Center.
