The Class of 2021 Commencement Speakers

Paul Wayne Haesemeyer '21Paul Wayne Haesemeyer
 
Paul Wayne Haesemeyer, a member of Phi Delta Theta, majored in theater and minored in art. Haesemeyer quickly found his home at Wabash working in the costume shop. He has been involved in many Wabash College Theater Productions onstage and behind-the-scenes. Haesemeyer was also involved in the Glee Club and as president of the Knitting Club. He received the Celebration Research, Scholarship, and Creativity Award for The Haze Collection, as well as the Kenneth W. Kloth Design and Technical Theater Award. He was also a Fulbright Semi-Finalist. He interned at the Williamstown Theater Festival, the Metropolitan Opera, and New Light Theater Project. This summer, Haesemeyer will be apprenticing at the Santa Fe Opera in the Costume Shop. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan and Kimberly Haesemeyer of Billings, Montana.
 

Malcolm Terrell Lang '21Malcolm Terrell Lang
 
Malcolm Terrell Lang is a English major with a focus in creative writing and a triple minor in Black studies, Education, and psychology. He is a letterman in football and a thrower in track and field. Lang is the former chairman of the Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies, a member of the Sons of Wabash, the Healthy Campus Taskforce, an honorary member of the Global Health Initiative, and a Care Team manager. He received the Margaret Farber Award in English 2020. He is the son of Tasha Stewart and Frederick Lang or Hammond, Indiana.
