Author of Black History, Quinton Dixie, to Speak at Wabash

Crawfordsville, IN —Wabash College announces the visit of Quinton Dixie, assistant professor of religious studies at Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne. He will lecture on Monday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m. in Lovell Lecture Room in Baxter Hall. Dixie will speak on the topic of “The Evidence of Things Not Said: Reading Between the Lines of Black History.”

Dixie has a particular interest in African American religious history, labor, and the civil rights movement. Dixie is the co-author of This Far By Faith: Stories from the African American Religious Experience (2003). Dixie received his Ph.D. at Union Theological Seminary.

Dixie's talk is sponsored by the Religion Department, The Frederic and Mary Jane Schillinger Hadley Fund, and the Malcolm X Institute. His talk is free and open the public.
