Wabash College senior tennis players Constantine Alexander (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) and Cameron Starnes (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) finished the ITA Small College Division Central Region Doubles Championships with a 2-1 record.
The pair won their first two matches before falling in the quarterfinals of the annual fall tournament. Alexander and Starnes opened with a 6-1, 3-6 (10-1) win over Ohio Wesleyan's Dilshod Abeygunowardona and Rob Hays, then took a 7-6 (4), 7-5 victory over Jason Kimball and Hunter Huth of Albion. Their tournament came to an end, however, with a 6-2, 6-1 loss at the hands of third-seeded Michael Malvitz and Julian Seelan of Kalamazoo College. Alexander won his opening singles match 6-3, 6-2 against Wooster's Cyrus Karimian before losing in the second round to Ryan Drew of Ohio Wesleyan (6-0, 3-6, 6-1). Freshman Adrian Starnes (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) claimed a 6-4, 7-6 (4) victory in the the opening round of singles play before losing in round two to Chris Mickleson of Wooster (6-3, 2-6, 6-4).
