The Wabash tennis team improved to 4-3 for the season after sweeping Anderson University on Tuesday afternoon at the Collett Tennis Center.
The Little Giants swept the doubles events. Seniors Mike Lynch (Evansville, IN/Evansville North) and Constantine Alexander (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) were 8-0 winners at first doubles. Cameron Starnes (SR/Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) and Nathan Cain (JR/Columbus, IN/Columbus North) took an 8-4 victory at second doubles. Adam Van Zee (FR/Logansport, IN/Logansport) and Adrian Starnes (FR/Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) were also 8-0 winners at third doubles.
Wabash completed the sweep with a perfect 6-0 record in singles action. Lynch took a 6-2, 6-3 victory at number one singles. Adrian Starnes added a 6-3, 6-4 victory at number two singles. Cain (6-3, 6-3 at third singles), Van Zee (6-3, 6-2 at fourth singles), Cameron Starnes (6-2, 6-4 at fifth singles) set up the final match at number sixth singles for the sweep. Senior Hadi Motiee (Muncie, IN/Burris) completed the victory with a 6-1, 6-2 victory to give the Little Giants their fourth win of the season.
