The Wabash College tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Illinois Wesleyan at the Collett Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Adrian Starnes (Crawfordsville, IN/Crawfordsville) was the only Wabash player to go to three sets in singles play. Starnes lost the opening set 4-6, but rebounded with a 6-4 win in the second. He forced the third set to a tiebreaker, eventually coming up on the short end of 7-5 score in the tiebreaker.
The loss drops the Little Giants to 5-4 for the season. Wabash will travel to California for spring break. The Little Giants will play matches against the California Institute of Technology, the University of La Verne, Whittier College, and Occidental.
